Ha ha! Im back! Man ive been doing pretty poorly keeping up with my posts, in fact, i think they have all been pretty much a month apart. Weellll, a lot has happened since me post i made right before school. To start off, we missed a 4 days of school right away thanks to Tropical Storm Fay, and my street was so flooded someone went down our street in a canoe and waved at us.
Then the next week began, and i realized exactly what i threw myself into when i joined IB (don't know what im talking about? well you should, because the only people that read my blog anyway are in IB, unless there is actually a sane human being outside of people that go to my school and/or know me that would read this). I literally had 3 hours of constant homework each night. It was crazy insane. But now that ive gotten through it, i know that i can do it, and will be able to continue to keep this up in the future.
I was going to go chronologically, but upon further thought i've just decided to go by skipping around to different events of random importance to confuse the living hell out of anyone reading. To start with, i will talk about probably the biggest event of the school year so far, and i will take this subject from the top. It all started with kimothy's blog post in the middle of i don't know when that concerned a certain group that i had heard v and kim talking about that summer. It turns out they were going to start a club, although of course i didn't find out about this till much later (thats me, usually a few steps behind them). We had our first meeting (ununofficially) about two fridays ago. We got a good bit done, deciding on a day to meet and a name. We called ourselve NEXUS. Then, after a second unofficial meeting, we had our first real meeting this past monday that accomplished a combination of nothing and a whole lot at the same time. We all broke into groups, some found a template for the website, some created a logo, and some(including me) worked on our letter to the teachers of our school to let them know we exist. Oh, and to top it all off, V was constantly singing lovefool by the cardigans.
Now onto running. After a somewhat laxidasical first week, we ran a two mile time trial (try saying that five times fast). I ran the best ive ever done for this particular time trial (which we hold at the beginning of every XC season), which is an 11:32. Then, i proceeded to run a stupendous bridge workout that following saturday. Who knows? I might even be pretty good this year. Then this past saturday i went to a yard sale to raise money for our cross country team. It was fun, and we earned 150 dollars. I found that trying to pogo on a pogo stick that is made for someone 4 feet tall doesn't go with someone whos pushing 5'8". I almost fell a dozen times (until the inevitable crash that ended that venture) but was able to go on a 136 jump streak.
This week has gone fairly well, and tonight i actually had very little homework. I will enjoy this as much as possible, as this rare feat will not be replicated much more throughout the year. I will leave you with one last little trinket of information: i am right now faced with a tobacle that both impedes thought and emotion from my present self, and the only way i see to clear it could potentially have uwanted after effects.
Good night to all and to all a good night.

Its A Cruel Cruel Summer
Well i was just checking out some blogs, and in the process of reading Kim's new blog, I realized i hadn't post in over a month. Now i've come to terms with the fact i've been pretty lazy, but that was a slap in the face. So i've decided its time to bare down and type out a post.
Its been a crazy month, so i might as well start from the top and work my way down. First off, i went on a trip to Georg-y to see my grandpa. He just recently moved south of atlanta to a itty bitty old town called locust grove. He had a b-e-a-utiful house, with farm land all around, but i guess technically in the suburbs. We went to Stone Mountain (which wasn't as tall as i remembered), played 16 holes of golf (which included a shot 200 hundred yards from the hole with a three wood that i place 5 feet from the hole, and then sunk the birdie putt) until we were rained out by the first rain in three weeks (i felt as though i were in an Alanis Morrisette song), and went to a really cool aviation museum.
After that things slowed down considerably, and to my delight we started having weekly practices for xc (i say delight because i now had someone to run with). Then at the end of july, V im'd me with the prospect of he and i and a bunch of our friends going to see Dark Knight and making a day of it. So we all tagged together, and after an afternoon filled with countless fun endeavors (including teaching V how to properly throw a baseball and then hit one), we saw the movie. All i can say is OMFG. Thats it. No more, that about sums it up.
And this past weekend i took a trip to tampa, over to the east coast, for one last vacation before the summers end. My family and i stayed at a holiday inn right on Clearwater Beach, and our room had a breathtaking balcony view of the sunset on the gulf. On monday we went to Busch Gardens to top it all off. I got to ride all the coasters (including the Montu twice), but i must say that i found the Sheikra a tad dissapointing. The whole ride was basically the drop at the beginning, and then one more little drop in the middle, for a 20 second ride that left you wondering why you just waited an hour in 95 degree Florida heat. Montu was definitely the best ride, while the Gwazi was a close second. I even took the safari ride, which was increible. Today we finally got home, and i will say that even though vacations are fun, there is nothing better than being back home.
Nothing much else to report on, other than the fact that i finally started The Scarlett Letter today and got 50 pages in. I have to say that it isn't as dreadful as i had previously prejudiced it to be. Not that its a nail-biter can't put it down sorta book, but i can read it without falling asleep.
Au revior my blog readers.

Stay Awake Stay Awake Survive
Sooo...its been awhile since ive posted. This is partly from my lack of motivation, and partly because i just haven't had anything to talk about. But alas, maybe now there is something again to speak of.
Basically, my days have been spent with the same old same old stuck at home do nothing kind of attitude. Although now my life is about to get very exciting again, what with my next ten days completely full of activity, my summer thus far has been extremely boring and uneventful. Minus a fun night at tylers house and a few days at the beach, nothing really to talk about. What do I do all day at home you ask? Well, basically i watch T.V., play video games, and go for a run. Most of the day consists of my brother and i playing video games while my dad reads the paper, my mom reads a book, my sister wanders aimlessly trying to find something to do, and, if my dads ipod is playing, then we are recieving a nice harmony of music that can go from rag time to classic 80's rock to slow 70's peace music to new hip punk of the nineties. Its quite the adventure.
Some notables since i last posted are:
I had an incredible porterhouse steak at my sisters team party
I ran a great mile repeat workout
I drove all the way to Palm Bay and back, and upon coming back, i went to see the Hulk with my mom
I saw Wanted, which was AMAZING
And i finally went to Barnes and Noble and got some good books ive been meaning to get for awhile now
Tomorrow is 4th of July, and the mile run that immediately follows the parade near Lyngate park, so wish me luck, and may i wish all of you reading a happy 4th!

Liquified Idealism
Aaaahh, friday. Usually marking the end of a more than likely tough school week, though now in the midst of summer it fails to hold the same bearing it would during the school year. Now it just feels like, well like any old day.
Today, after failing to wake up in time to go for a morning run, i ate some donuts and then we were off to the beach. Not a surfing day, or a boogie boarding day for that matter, as it was flat and glassy as far as the eye could see. It was a good frisbee day however, and there was also some very nice skim boarding to be done. We also went down to the rocks and tried catching some fish, and ended up catching a very large and creepy looking crab. A few more hours walking around and attempted boogie boarding, we were back home. Although we planned on going in the pool, Mother Nature was going to have none of that. So instead we watched Some Kind Of Wonderful, and then, because the sun had come out, we went to Tradition for Westfest. But when we got there we found it was cancelled. So we ate some pizza at Johnny V's and got ice cream instead.
Its 11:11, make a wish!

A Realization Of Idiocracy
Happy June 19th!!! Not that theres anything special about today, i just like to celebrate random days for no reason, keeps things more interesting. Sooooo, remember that list i made yesterday? Well, after today, i am still no closer than i was yesterday, in fact i may even be further away from my goal. Besides vacuuming my pool at around 11:30 this morning, nothing much else was done, once again thanks to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005. It keeps sucking me in, making me play for hours on end.
So Saturday i vow not to play it at all. I vow for Saturday because tomorrow i will have absolutely no time to play it anyways. First, i hope (i say hope because my mind and my heart are on different airwaves in the morning) to go for a long running in the morning to get it out of the way. Then a trip to the beach with my fam and some friends of my family. Then after a jump in the pool and poolside grilling, we are going to go to west fest at Traditions because its just a hop skip and a jump from my house, so that should be fun.
Well, that was pretty much my day. I did go for a six miler today to clean out the tubes, but besides that there wasn't much else that was accomplished. Now i have to go do the dishes so my mom will stop yelling at me to get them done. I swear that sometimes she can just build herself up into this amazing cranky frenzy. Oh well.
G'night.

A New Day Dawns
Well....this is my second blog. I learned a lot while doing the first one, stuff like how to keep the habit, how make it work, and how to keep it interesting and not put every single boring detail from your day in (thanx kim, if your reading this). It ended with the school year, as i said adieu to my friends, teachers, and my sophomore year. There are the few good friends that i will be able to keep in contact with, but aside from that, a new door has been opened up as a window has been closed.
Thus far my summer has been far away from anything that might in any way resemble productive. Less than 20% of my days have been spent predominantly outside, or doing work, which is a major bummer. But i am making an oath to myself right now, im going to clean up my act and get started with what i wanna do this summer. First off, i wanna read and understand the scarlet letter. Some other not as important tasks are:
--get in shape for xc
--find a job
--get service hours
--find out what events i would like to do if i joined TSA
I always like to make lists, because they make everything seem so manageable. See, i have this annoying thing that i do where if i have something that must be done, like hw, my mind buzzes all the time to let me know that im slacking off and not doing something im supposed to be doing. Making lists always helps with that.
With these new goals set in mind, i hope i will be able to accomplish them. And now for the end of this once rinky dinky little post that turned into a marathon of jumbled thoughts and ideas.
